May Sketch Layout

Better late then never I say!!!!!  I was going to be a great blogger this year but as always life has gotten in the way.

I did manage to get Crece's amazing sketch she designed for Mad About Scrappin done this last month.

I used the Teresa Collins You Are My Happy Range.  I am not normally a fan of orange but I just love the range.  Add in some of the gold pattern paper from the range and the amazing Studio Calico Embellishments (which are available in the Mad About Scrappin Store) I love how it turned out in the end!!

June's sketch challenge (created by the amazing Amy Prior) is now up over on the Mad About Scrappin Blog so head over and have a look at all the Creative Team's great inspiration and have a go!!  2 prizes up for grabs!!

I have a few other layout to show you as I was able to sneak away on retreat with my best friends about a month ago so fingers crossed I can get back and blog about them!!!

A little late!!!!

 Hi Everyone

Well its a new month and a new challenge over on the Mad About Scrappin Blog Page. And of course I am a month behind lol!!!  But I did want to show you all that I did in face do this gorgeous sketch that CT Member Amy designed.  Loved it the minute I saw it!!!

Here's my layout!  I had my gorgeous friends over for a scrap night and Lou bought all her stamps so I think I used one of everything on this layout lol!!  I wanted to use a little pattern paper but create my background with stamping.

But being a new month we have a new sketch!!  This amazing sketch is created by CT Crece.  You can find out all the details over on our blog.  You have until the 31st of March to upload your layout to be in the draw for some prizes!!!!

Now hopefully it won't be April before I share my March layout with you!!!

D-lish Scraps January Inspiration Challenge Entry

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to share my entry for D-lish Scraps January Colour Challenge over on their blog.

Here is the Inspiration Board - Lilac Haze.

Now purple is not my favorite colour and I always try to avoid using it when scrapping but I wanted to challenge myself!  I had NO purple pattern paper at all in my stash lol so I have used paint instead.  I dug out my stencils and used a aqua colour paint with them.  Also painted the WOW Chipboard Home is where the heart is.  Lots of yummy embellishments from D-lish as well!!!

Retreat Layouts

Hi Everyone

Its so nice to be able to flip through and pick out some older papers that you have been wanting to use for ages and finally scrap with it!!!

My Son is using the Authentique Celebrate range that I have had on my stash for ages but I knew it would be perfect for my son.

I have used The Crafters Template Star Template and inked in various places on my card and then traced over with a black pen to make it stand out.

I have used lots of Wood Veneer Pieces from WOW that I have inked red.  These are available from my store

Full of Happiness is using another range from Jillibean Soup that I have had put away for awhile now.  I sold it during one of our Flog It Friday Sales over on Mad About Scrappin's Website and I was only able to get a few pieces for myself (that will teach me to get in first lol).

I used the Kraft Cardstock Lattice by Jillibean Soup as my Background.  The yellow Forget Me Not flowers are available over in the Mad Store as well as the sequins which I love to use and add the perfect finish to your pages.  Big thank you to my gorgeous friends for letting me raid their stashes for the finishing touches on my page as well ;)

I think this is one of my favourite layouts featuring my girl!!!  Thanks for looking everyone!!

Well Played

Hi Everyone

I know what a shock I am blogging and showing my work lol! Its not because I don't want to but time can be hard to find sometimes especially when I am busy looking at all the yummy things I can order in to share with you!!

But I went away on Retreat with my best friends last month and had the oppourtunity to get a few layouts done.  When I first saw Well Played by Carta Bella I was excited because I thought what great boy paper for my son who is nearly 10!  Such great colours!!

If you are after the range you can still purchase some from the Mad About Scrappin Shop

The colours work so well with this photo.  I also included some Memory Maze Chipboard Stars and Little People which I left natural and my new LOVE Wood Veneer from WOW.  What I love about the Wood Veneer is that is looks awesome in its natural state!!

My second layout got very messy!!  I wanted to use the mists to try to imitate my son getting the wax on his hand!  I used the Tim Holtz Spray in red to get a deep red colour and then just used some black to do some splats on the page.  I got out my trusty Bubble Wrap stamp from Kaiser and randomly stamped on the cardstock.  I had lots of fun creating this layout!!!

I hope you find some inspiration this weekend!!!
